Don't forget - tomorrow is the big event - the 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration on June 19th from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM at Wilbur Wright Middle School. This is a FREE Event for the whole family. We are super excited for this yearly tradition in the School Town of Munster. There will be food trucks, fun activities for the whole family, and educational stations. We want to celebrate and let attendees know the reason for this holiday.

At the June 8 School Town of Munster Board of School Trustees meeting, the Board proudly recognized this year's retirees for their outstanding dedication and service to our students, staff, and community.

Together, these remarkable individuals represent more than 117 years of service to the School Town of Munster:
• Deborah Gauthier, Bus Driver – 24 years
• Tammy Katalinic, Exceptional Achievers Elementary Coordinator – 18½ years
• Keith Koszut, Munster High School Science Teacher – 35 years
• Patti Stofko, Frank H. Hammond Elementary 1st Grade Teacher – 40 years

We extend our sincere gratitude for the lasting impact each has made throughout their careers. Their commitment to excellence has helped shape generations of Mustangs and strengthen our school community.

STATE CHAMPION! Congratulations to Munster High School junior Priyanka Tallamraju on capturing the IHSAA Girls Tennis Singles State Championship!

Priyanka defeated Brebeuf Jesuit junior Chloe Wendowski in a thrilling three-set match to claim the state title, becoming Munster's first girls singles state champion since 2009. Her championship run caps off an incredible season that included a perfect 16-0 regular season record and a flawless 10-0 postseason record.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to Priyanka’s talent, determination, and hard work. We are incredibly proud of the way she represented Munster High School throughout the season and on the state's biggest stage.

Congratulations to School Town of Munster Board Member John Castro on earning the Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA) Exemplary Award!

This distinguished recognition is awarded to members who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to professional development. Mr. Castro achieved the Exemplary level by completing more than 225 hours of professional development and training in key areas such as school finance, legislation, leadership, and governance.

The award was presented at the ISBA Spring Regional Meeting in Merrillville and reflects Mr. Castro's dedication to continuous learning and effective school board leadership.

As summer just gets underway, athletics is already looking toward the fall season. If you are planning on participating in any of our athletics programs this coming school year, please make sure you have signed up for a Final Forms account. The link pro idea below will take you to the log in and registration page. All student athletes must have a physical on file dated after April 1st and a completed final forms account to participate/try out. Once you have an account set up, it will follow you through high school.
