Students in Ms. Derolf-Parente’s Art classes have been exploring creativity and teamwork through two fun drawing activities!
For Exquisite Co**se, students started a drawing with a head before passing it to a classmate to add the torso, then the legs, and finally the feet. The result? Some wonderfully unexpected and creative characters! 👀😂
During Group Doodler, students worked together to recreate famous works of art—but with a twist! Each group had to control a single marker together as they recreated their artwork. 🖊️🖼️
Through reflection, students discovered that the communication they used with their group—discussing lines, shapes, locations, challenges, and solutions—is similar to the conversations artists have with themselves while creating. They learned to keep going when things get difficult, find solutions to challenges, and most importantly, have fun creating! 💡🎨
