The Official page for The School Town of Munster The School Town of Munster is the school district which serves the town of Munster, Indiana.

There are 3 elementary schools, 1 middle school, and 1 high school. There is also 1 early childhood educational center. Known for its excellence, all of the schools in this district are blue ribbon and four star rated schools. Munster High School, the district's only high school, is one of seven Indiana schools included in the Newsweek's 2006 Top Schools list at number 1,134. The school also made the list in 2008 (1257) and in 2010 (1151).

Munster High School students and families are invited to explore opportunities and start planning for the future at our College & Career Fair!

- Seniors: 7th Period | 2:03–2:50 PM

The fair will also be open from 3:00–4:00 PM for parents, freshmen, sophomores, and ACC students.

This is a great opportunity to explore college options, learn about career pathways, ask questions, and discover what might come next after MHS. Mark your calendars!

MHS Seniors: Need help with college applications?

The MHS Guidance Department is hosting College Application Assistance Sessions on Thursdays during Tutorial! School counselors will be available to help with:
• Common App questions
• College essay review
• Getting started with applications
• Other application questions

Thursdays: Sept. 10, 17 & 24; Oct. 1, 8 & 29
Location: Media Center Collaboration Room

Students with Open Tutorial are welcome to walk in. If you need a pass, please request one from your school counselor. Take advantage of this opportunity to get support as you prepare for your next step!

🎃 Halloween Halls is coming to Munster High School!
Join us for a FREE indoor Trick-or-Treating event for children in 5th grade and below and their families!

- Friday, October 23
- 5:00–6:30 p.m.
- Munster High School – Enter through Door Q

Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy a fun and safe evening of trick-or-treating through the halls of MHS! All children must be supervised by an adult.

We can’t wait to see all of our little ghosts, goblins and Mustangs!

Hey, Elliott girls—are you ready to BE BOLD? Girls on the Run is coming to Elliott Elementary!
Girls in 3rd–5th grade are invited to join Girls on the Run, a fun, empowering program where girls build confidence, make new friends, play games, and discover their Heart Power—the power to speak up and share what’s inside their hearts!
What to expect:
- Meet twice a week for 10 weeks
- Fun activities and meaningful discussions
- Create a team project that supports our community
- Celebrate the season by completing a 5K!

Season Information:
- Practice Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
- Time: 3:30–5:00 PM
- Season Starts: Monday, September 14
- Program Fee: $20–$180 sliding scale, with financial assistance available

Wilbur Wright students in Ms. Derolf-Parente’s Art classes have been exploring creativity and teamwork through two fun drawing activities!

For Exquisite Co**se, students started a drawing with a head before passing it to a classmate to add the torso, then the legs, and finally the feet. The result? Some wonderfully unexpected and creative characters!

During Group Doodler, students worked together to recreate famous works of art—but with a twist! Each group had to control a single marker together as they recreated their artwork.

Through reflection, students discovered that the communication they used with their group—discussing lines, shapes, locations, challenges, and solutions—is similar to the conversations artists have with themselves while creating. They learned to keep going when things get difficult, find solutions to challenges, and most importantly, have fun creating!
