Every Tuesday & Thursday 1pm-4pm The Salvation Army is made up of thousands of officers, soldiers, adherents, employees, volunteers and other individuals all working together to holistically meet the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of those less fortunate. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. The Salvation Army Indiana Division is the administrative unit which provides services to people in need all over Indiana. The Salvation Army of Hammond/Munster is a part of the Indiana Division, and provides a variety of services to people in need in our community. The Salvation Army is currently officially at work in 131 countries worldwide. It is a Christian organization and part of the universal Christian Church. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in his name without discrimination. Our Approach

We take a holistic approach to Doing the Most Good where there is the most need, without discrimination, whether it be disaster relief, emergency assistance, substance abuse rehabilitation, or educational programs for children.
