Hey, Greater Lansing! Did you know we partnered with CATA - Capital Area Transportation Authority to promote commute alternatives, such as public transit and eco-friendly options? This initiative aims to lower regional emissions and ease congestion. 🚲🚍

Here are some of our favorite ways you can take action:

💨 When you can, take the bus, carpool, or share a ride; this reduces traffic congestion and pollution.
💨 Ride your bike or walk instead of driving; this cuts emissions and congestion while helping you maintain a healthy lifestyle!
💨 Regularly maintain your car; simple upkeep can improve gas mileage.

Visit mitcrpc.org/air to learn more tips and tricks about what you can do, sign up for air quality alerts, and learn more about CATA's route options.

Hey, Greater Lansing, we need your input! 🔌⚡

The City of Lansing, Michigan - Government, along with many other partners, is excited to share that they've received funding through the Federal Highway Administration's Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) Discretionary Grant Program. This regional initiative will help expand electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure throughout the Greater Lansing Area. As part of this effort, up to fifty new community-based EV charging stations will be installed, making electric vehicle ownership more convenient and accessible for everyone!

You can share your input by taking the survey at loom.ly/JMp_Y18.

Your feedback will inform current and future EV charging needs and support the planning, development, and accessibility of EV infrastructure across the Greater Lansing Region.

It is officially back-to-school season! 🚦🛣️

That means more congestion and busier roads. Always share the road with young pedestrians, school buses, and bicyclists.

Here are some safety tips we like to share:

🚶‍♂️ Take extra care to watch for children in school zones, near playgrounds and parks, and in all residential areas.
🚌 Never pass a school bus from behind – or from either direction if you're on an undivided road – when it is stopped to load or unload children.
🚲 When passing a bicyclist, proceed slowly in the same direction and leave 3 feet between your car and the cyclist.

Happy National Aviation Day! ✈️

Congratulations to Lansing's Capital Region International Airport (LAN) on its 100th anniversary!

Did you know that in 2024, they were the 5th busiest airport in Michigan by passenger volume?

We are proud to celebrate this milestone in the Greater Lansing region. 🛫

Happy National Aviation Day! From family vacations to solo travels, from business trips to cargo transport — aviation makes it all possible.

For 100 years, the Capital Region International Airport has been connecting mid-Michigan to the world and welcoming millions of travelers through our terminal doors.

Today, we honor not just the incredible history of the aviation industry, but the generations of dedicated airport staff and crew members who keep LAN flying high every single day. 🛫

Thanks for making LAN's 100-year story so special!
