We worked hard to give schools the power to implement necessary cell phone rules in the classroom. Parents wanted it, teachers wanted it, and Rep. Mark Tisdel (R-Rochester Hills) led the way to get it done. This will be the first year that Michigan schools have the ability to get this distraction out of the way of learning while maintaining important exceptions that keep students safe and parents informed.

This week, we passed Rep. Jennifer Wortz’s (R-Quincy) plan to require safety protections and real accountability in Michigan’s prisons.

After multiple deaths behind bars, the status quo is unacceptable. These bills strengthen legislative oversight, open critical records, & require public reporting.

Taxpayers fund these facilities, and the state is responsible to ensure they're run well. We must do better.

Half a million people made their voices heard to get dark money OUT of politics. That's why we passed it this week and sent it to the Senate.

Senate Democrats need to come back to work, stop blocking the will of the people, and stop protecting dark money. Put this common-sense measure up for a vote now.

Michigan House lawmakers approved a ballot initiative Tuesday to limit political donations from some utilities and government contractors. Colin Jackson reports the move is also an attempt to block voters from deciding on the issue.

Thanks to President Trump, Michigan is at the forefront of cutting-edge military tech, including a new fighter mission at Selfridge Air National Guard base and new drone testing sites at Camp Grayling.

These projects will create jobs in our state, boost our economy, and solidify Michigan's role in national defense. We stand with the President's efforts to strengthen our military & cut red tape so our soldiers have what they need to defend our great country.

The House approved the Michiganders for Money Out of Politics initiative because we know the half a million people who signed the petition to put it before us are right, but Senate Democrats won't put it up for a vote.

Massive corporations with deep pockets have the ability to influence government decisions in ways Michigan families simply cannot compete with, and that’s not right. Why won’t Senate Democrats vote to get money out of politics?

Dark money and special interests have had their thumb on the scale in Michigan elections long enough.

House Republicans answered the call and got dark money out of politics after over half a million people across our state signed on — but Senate Democrats refuse to stand with them and take it up.

We're doing our part to listen to the people of Michigan. Will Senate Democrats do the same?

The people want it. Hundreds of thousands signed petitions asking us to pass this. House Republicans got it done and stood up for the people.

Michigan Democrats have an uncanny ability to get ballot proposals certified quickly.

If you look at the certification speed for Michigan ballot proposals since 2018, a pattern emerges that seems to line up more with a party rather than public support.

Over 700,000 Michiganders are having their voices silenced. We are going to get to the bottom of this.

709,000+ voices want ONLY CITIZENS voting in Michigan — nearly the most signatures on a petition in the last decade. And those voices were silenced.

House Republicans take this seriously. That's why we passed Michigan's SAVE America Act in April, and it's why we created a special committee to investigate this.

- We have dozens of voter fraud cases in Michigan alone.
- Investigations into suspicious activity in Muskegon have been reopened.
- A Chinese national's vote COUNTED in 2024, which we only know because he came forward.
- Michigan's Democrat AG just charged multiple noncitizens for voting in our elections.
- And Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson REFUSES to share requested voter roll information with the Trump administration.

The people want safeguards, but the Board of Canvassers said no. We MUST get to the bottom of this.
