Another amazing day for BKP Ambulance District.
During the St. Rita’s Medical Center EMS Captain Catherine Nye received the Greg King Award for “Outstanding Service and Dedication to Fire and EMS”and our crew of Captain Haydn Taylor and Mike Miller received an “Excellence in Stroke Care” award for a stroke call for one of the best call to intervention time recorded. The award was accepted by Assistant Chief Prater on their behalf.
We are proud of our crews and the service and dedication they provide our community.

We went with that theme. Thanks AI for showing our crew how we see them every day. Suiting up and ready to go. Now we just need them to create their own monologue and perfect that landing!!

What a great start to EMS Week 2026!!!!

BKP Ambulance District was awarded “Department of the Year” at Lima Memorial Hospitals 2026 EMS Banquet.

We would like to congratulate every member of our department and thank Lima Memorial for the recognition of exemplary service, patient care and documentation skills that our team strives to provide.

We would also like to congratulate the team of Kellie Fortune, Shelly "Michelle" Prater, and JohnCarl Fortune who were awarded for their exemplary care of a STEMI patient.

Great teamwork!!!
