Our volunteers take their carefully-screened pets on scheduled visits to more than 90 facilities throughout greater Kansas City, including hospitals, nursing homes, shelters for domestic violence, mental health programs, treatment centers for youth, corrections facilities; as well as hospice and Reading Education Assistance Dogs. Our main focus is on those whose situation is most restrictive and w

ho are least likely to receive, but are most in need of the social, mental, and physical stimulation provided by our volunteer teams.

Please join us on June 23 from 6-9 PM for our 2nd Drink-To-Donate fundraiser at Kansas City Bier Company, where $1 of every full pour beer sold between 3 PM to 9 PM will be donated to PFL. If you are unable to attend, kindly consider making a donation on our website.

On Monday, May 18th, Fran Lancaster and OTTO, along with Colleen Kennedy, represented Pets for Life at the KCK Public Main Library for their Pet Appreciation Celebration. The children enjoyed hearing about PFL, R.E.A.D., and they even had the chance to read with OTTO his favorite book, “Otto goes to School”.
