This means having a seat in a room with real people asking real questions about faith, life, and what it actually means to follow Jesus. No prerequisites required. Just show up as you are.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and those who ran toward danger out of selfless bravery.

9/11 reminds us how fragile life is, and how deeply we need one another.

So today, we pause. We pray for those who lost a loved one on this day. We remember.

In a world that is broken and uncertain, we hold onto a hope that does not shake. A hope rooted in Jesus, who meets us in grief, carries us in pain, and brings light into even the darkest moments.

What if the person everyone else has quietly written off is exactly the one Jesus is asking you to pursue?

Sunday's message sat with us in Luke 15, where a shepherd leaves 99 perfectly fine sheep to go find the one that wandered off. Not because the sheep did everything right. Not because it was easy to find. But because lost doesn't mean worthless.

There's a moment in that passage where the shepherd finally finds the sheep and doesn't scold it or drag it back. He lifts it onto his shoulders and carries it home. That image is staying with us this week. Because most of us have someone in our life who's wandering. The coworker everyone avoids. The neighbor who's a little too much. The family member who keeps ending up in the same hard place. And if we're honest, we've wondered if it's even worth the effort.

But the shepherd goes anyway. Every time. That person has a name, a story, and infinite worth to God.

So here's the question we're sitting with this week: who's your one? Not your list. Just one person.

Helping someone find their way isn’t about saying the right thing. It’s about being there—steady, present, and willing to carry the weight with them until they find their way back to God. Jesus never asked anyone to "clean up" before coming close to Him. He sat with people exactly as they were and invited them to belong. The Church was never meant to be a closed circle. It's a table with room always being made, and there's an empty seat at that table that belongs to someone you know. Who in your life is God nudging you to invite?

Last weekend, we ended our series by zooming out from all the numbers, the wins, the growth, the momentum, and zooming in on someone specific. The person in your orbit who's wandered from God. The friend you haven't called in months. The family member you're not sure how to reach.

We learned that Jesus didn't ask them to get their life together first. He didn't check percentages or measure success by who stayed. He left the 99 and went after the one. He entered their mess. He listened. He loved them back to belonging. That's the posture we're inviting you into this next season. And you don't have to do it alone. Small groups and core courses start next week.
