Sunday Evening Check-In

Whew — weekends sure fly by, don’t they?! We hope you had a chance to relax and recharge.

We also hope you were able to participate in Health on the Block and/or take your teens to the Free College Fair this weekend — investing in our health and future is what community is all about!

As you prepare for the workweek — getting the kids ready for school, setting those alarms, and planning meals — we encourage you to schedule a little time for community engagement this week:

Come out tomorrow (Monday, October 6, 2025 | 6:00–7:30 pm) for the 5th District Meeting at Community America Bank – 11501 Blue Ridge Blvd, 64134. If you can’t make it in person? No worries — you can join online! Your voice matters, and this is a great opportunity to learn about funding and resources that directly impact our neighborhood.

On Thursday, October 9 at 10:00 AM the Mid-Continent Public Library – Blue Ridge Branch (9253 Blue Ridge Blvd, KCMO 64138) will be hosting 2 Events:
1. Family Storytime : Designed for children of all ages to share early literacy experiences with the whole family!
2. Book Discussion: This Is Why We Lied by Karin Slaughter

This is also a heads up — this is the perfect week to deep clean your home! The October Drop-Off Event is happening this Saturday at Ruskin High School (7000 E 111th St) from 8 AM–12 PM.
