🏀⛹🏼♀️⛹🏼♂️Spring is upon us, and along with it, folks eager to get outdoors and enjoy the warming weather, especially our youth! Basketball is a wonderful team sport, popular among many Madison Township residents. Basketball provides the opportunity to not only get outdoors but engage in physical exercise and make memories with friends. Neighborhood roadways may be a tempting place to erect a backdrop and hoop to practice free throw or challenge your siblings to a friendly game of HORSE, but we must be mindful of our neighbors within earshot and motorists that need to pass through. Several ORC codes outline the rules for yielding the right-of-way to vehicles or obstructing roadways, including ORC 4511.50 and 5589.01, however, it is most important to consider the rules of being a good neighbor first. Please be kind and considerate of one another! If hoops cannot be safely installed on private property, Brobst Park on Wi******er Pike offers basketball courts for our residents to utilize on a first-come, first-serve basis.
