At the 2026 open house, Officer Mallory from the Madison Township Police Department and Officer Boso from the Groveport Police Department introduced themselves to parents and returning students, discussing their roles in ensuring safety and their daily presence.

Thank you all for making this year's event such a remarkable success. We extend our gratitude to our amazing sponsors, dedicated vendors, volunteers, and the various local and state agencies that took part—your dedication to our community means so much.

We are especially thankful to all the families, children, and community members who participated in our evening event. It was so heartwarming to see everyone enjoying the activities, connecting with officers, and forming bonds, which is what National Night Out is all about.

On 7/31/2026, there were multiple break-ins in the Blacklick Estates area between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m., resulting in numerous shattered car windows. If you have any information, even if nothing was taken or if you have video footage of the suspects, please report it by calling (614) 836-5355 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or our 24-hour line at (614) 836-9000.

***Door-to-Door Activity Notice***
Madison Township has been notified that Working America, a community affiliate of the AFL-CIO, will be conducting door-to-door outreach in our community in the coming months.
Under the Townships solicitation ordinance, Working America is exempt from the Townships permit requirements and is not required to follow the Townships No Soliciting rules. If someone from Working America visits your home, participation is completely voluntary. You are always welcome to decline to answer the door or politely end the conversation.
This serves as a helpful reminder that commercial door-to-door solicitors operate differently. Currently, IGS Energy is the only commercial business authorized to solicit door-to-door in Madison Township. If other commercial businesses, like lawn care, pest control, roofing, or similar services, are going door-to-door, residents should ask whether they have a solicitation permit. If they do not have one, please report them to the Franklin County non-emergency line at (614) 836-9000.

Can donate at he Groveport Recreation Center or the Police Department

Good Morning!

We would be grateful for your help in collecting back to school backpacks and lunch boxes for elementary school students in our city.

Ofc Herrera and Chief McDonough will have a tent set up for 1st Thursday at Cruiser Park next week (430p-7p) where you can drop off new backpacks that we will distribute to our elementary schools. We will also accept backpacks, starting today through all of August, at the PD and rec center or with an officer out on patrol.

Thank you for helping us to make things a bit easier for some of our little students in need!!
