Franklin County's weekly tornado siren test is canceled today, May 27th.

FCEM&HS has canceled today's noon outdoor warning siren test for Franklin County due to expected showers and thunderstorms. If you hear the sirens, it means a Tornado Warning is in effect. Seek shelter immediately.

This is a reminder that due to the holiday this week, trash collection services are delayed by one day. Trash will be collected on Friday, May 29, 2026. Routes could be run differently due to staffing, the volume of holiday trash, and time constraints. Trash must be at the curb by 5 a.m. to ensure your pick-up. Thank you.

Madison Township business offices will close at 1 p.m. today and will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, for the holiday. We will re-open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26th.

We are experiencing an increasing number of storm sewer lids being removed throughout Madison Township. This creates a serious safety hazard for pedestrians and is costly to repair.

If you see anyone tampering with or removing storm sewer lids, please contact the Madison Township Police Department at 614-836-5355, Monday – Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, or the radio room at 614-836-9000 after hours, and ask for an officer so the appropriate personnel can respond and address the situation.

Tampering with and/or removing storm sewer lids is a punishable offense. At a minimum, offenders can be charged with criminal mischief.

We appreciate the community’s help in keeping Madison Township safe.

Franklin County tornado testing is canceled for today (May 20th)

Due to forecasted showers and thunderstorms in Franklin County and Central Ohio today, FCEM&HS is suspending the noon outdoor warning siren test. If the sirens sound, it means a Tornado Warning has been issued. Residents should seek shelter immediately.
