Today we had the honor of celebrating two incredible educators who have made a lasting impact on our students, staff, and school community. ❤️

Congratulations to our 2025-2026 Paraprofessional of the Year, Susan Stover!
Mrs. Stover has dedicated 30 years of service to students as both a special education paraprofessional and bus driver. For decades, she has made sure students were cared for, supported, safe, and loved each and every day. Her patience, compassion, consistency, and servant’s heart have touched countless lives through the years. As she begins her retirement, we celebrate not only this well-deserved recognition, but also the incredible legacy she leaves behind. We are so thankful for the impact she has made on Mildred ISD and wish her nothing but happiness in retirement!

We also want to congratulate our 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year, Karin Hall!
Mrs. Hall has truly blossomed during her time on our campus and brings energy, heart, and excellence to her kindergarten classroom every single day. Anyone who has worked with kindergarten students knows that making it look easy is no small task, and she does exactly that. She creates a classroom where students feel loved, challenged, and excited to learn, and she represents the very best of what we want for all children. We are so proud of her and thankful for the difference she makes in the lives of our students.

Our students had so much fun celebrating the end of the 9 weeks at our last rally of the year! We celebrated hard work, great behavior, attendance, and all of the accomplishments from this grading period.

The students also got a special surprise with teacher games against different grade levels, and there were lots of laughs and cheers from the crowd! Thank you to our staff for always making school fun and creating memories our students will never forget. ❤️🦅

We had a great Field Day last week! Our students had a blast making memories with their classmates, teachers, and families. From water slides to games and lots of laughter, it was the perfect way to celebrate the end of an amazing school year.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a fun and successful event for our kids! Special shoutout to the Mildred PTO for providing shirts for all students and staff, paying for the water slides and obstacle course, and setting up the fundraiser with Chick-fil-A.

Congressman Jake Ellzey created the Ellzey’s Eager Readers program to inspire young Texans to develop a passion for reading, learning, and future success.

Congratulations to these four students who earned a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for being named Ellzey’s Rocket Readers and successfully completing the program. We are so proud of you! 🦅📚

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who qualified for our annual library incentive trip had a great day at Schulman's MBG yesterday. The students enjoyed a movie with popcorn, bowling, pizza, and arcade games. We'd like to say THANK YOU to Collin Street Bakery who was kind enough to give each student a free cookie after their day of fun.
