It was recently Brett Whitehead Day in Bradley County to celebrate 20 years of Brett’s Picks. If you know Brett, you know his passion for local sports. He’s been a great friend of the Local 3 Sports team for years.

In honor of 20 years, Brett Whitehead sent us down some shirts. Sierra Rucker 3 couldn’t wait to put hers on. We appreciate and thank you, Brett!

Beginning TOMORROW October 15th-May 15th 2027, a burn permit will be required for ALL outdoor burning in Tennessee.

Before you burn, remember:
✅ Burn permits are FREE
✅ Permits can be obtained online at www.burnsafetn.org
✅ Burn natural vegetation only

🚫 It is illegal to burn:
• Household trash
• Tires
• Construction debris
• Furniture
• Plastics or other non-natural materials

These regulations help protect our community, improve air quality, and reduce the risk of wildfires.

Yesterday, Bradley County proudly recognized Brett Whitehead for two decades of excellence through Brett’s Picks, his weekly college sports analysis show, and for his outstanding educational partnership with Bradley Central High School’s H12 Studio.

To honor his contributions to our community and local students, County Mayor D. Gary Davis presented Brett with a proclamation declaring October 12, as Brett Whitehead Day in Bradley County!

Congratulations, Brett, and thank you for your dedication to sports, education, and our community!
