Trustee employees are mourning the loss of the Mayor's son. Please keep the Davis family in your prayers.

Yesterday, our family lost my oldest son, Blake.

Blake passed away after a long illness. He was 48 years old. He was a husband to Mollie for nearly 25 years, a dad to their three kids, and he worked at Ocoee Utility District. But to me, first and always, he was my son.

I’ve lost my parents, and I’ve lost brothers and sisters, but there is something different about losing a child. It’s not supposed to be this way. No parent is meant to outlive their son. And right now, that reality is something I am really struggling with.

Over the last several years, and especially in recent days, so many of you have prayed for Blake and for our family. I can’t put into words what that has meant. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every call, and every act of kindness. We’ve felt your support, and it has carried us more than you know.

Right now, we’re grieving, and we’re holding tight to the people we love most. If you would, please keep Mollie and their children, and our whole family, in your prayers in the days ahead. We’re grateful for you, and we’re leaning on our faith and on this community.

Bradley County Trustee's office will be closed Monday February 2, 2026. We will reopen Tuesday February 3, 2026 at 8:30 AM. Stay safe and warm.

Out of an abundance of caution, and for the safety of the public and our employees, all Bradley County Government offices will be closed on Monday, February 2, due to continued hazardous road conditions.

While many main and state roads are clear, a large number of back roads and rural county roads remain iced over and unsafe for travel. With temperatures expected to stay below freezing until tomorrow afternoon, these areas are unlikely to improve until later in the day. Anything frozen now will likely remain frozen until then.

Please use caution if you must be out. County offices will reopen on Tuesday, February 3, for regular business hours. Stay safe and warm.

Trustee’s Office Receives Positive Audit

Bradley County Trustee Mike Smith has announced the Trustee’s Office recently received a very positive state audit for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. The state audit was performed by the Division of County Audits of the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office. Smith stated, “The tax processing clerks had another outstanding year servicing over 53,476 Bradley County and City of Charleston parcels with 100% accuracy. This past fiscal year was the tenth year Bradley County worked with the City of Charleston to collect their property tax and it continues to be very successful. I would like to thank Charleston officials for working with Bradley County to save both entities taxpayer money.

The accounting division continues to operate at the highest level while monitoring over 245 million dollars of cash flow and 600 governmental accounts. The excellent accuracy of the accounting division was again proven as they had another year with no year end adjustments required by the state auditors.

The processing and monitoring of our senior citizen tax relief and tax freeze programs and the administration of our numerous partial payment plans continue to be both efficient and effective.” Smith continued, “My staff and I understand how critical financial accuracy is to both the taxpayers and Bradley County government. We will continue to strive for 100% accuracy and to serve Bradley County citizens with the highest regard and respect.”

The Trustee’s Office is located at 1701 Keith Street at the corner of 17th and Keith Streets. Our mailing address is, 1701 Keith Street, Cleveland, Tennessee 37311, and the telephone number is 423-728-7247.
