Candidates! We have been asked to remind you that Early Voting has ended. The locations who graciously allow us to use their facilities have asked that you remove your signage to allow them to mow and return to normal operations.

Also, we remind you that state laws require your signs be removed from Rights of Way within 3 weeks after Election Day or risk fines and penalties. Local jurisdictions may vary slightly.

If you are not registered to vote in Bradley County, need to change your address, or if you have recently changed your name (married or divorced) you can also do that on our website or at GoVoteTN.gov

The deadline to register for the May 5th Primary Election is April 6th.

Early voting begins on April 15th and April 30th. Locations are also posted on our website.

Candidates! Many of you are first time candidates and although you received information in your candidate packages this is a friendly reminder!

We are receiving complaints about political signage being placed in public Right of Ways and on private property without the property owners permission. In some cases blocking line of sight at intersections. The City of Cleveland has a specific ordinance referring to signage. The State of Tennessee also has policies on signage. They will begin relocating your signs for you, usually to a garbage dumpster. Private property owners have the ability to remove signage placed on their property without permission as well.

Generally, we find that most reports of stolen or missing signage falls in the above categories.

Please consider the general public when placing your advertising!

People come in the Election Commission office and hear ‘our birds’ in the back office. One of our Election Commission members had us bird-sit a while back and we never returned them to him! Since then we learned they were a male/female pair and purchased a nesting box. Well, now we have three (3) eggs! Congratulations to Blue and Sunny!
