I didn’t survive everything I’ve been through just to stop dreaming about what my future could become. There was a time when getting through each day required so much of my energy that thinking about my dreams felt almost impossible. But somewhere along my healing journey, I realized that I still had goals to accomplish, passions to pursue, and a purpose to fulfill.
Surviving was necessary, but I refused to let survival become the limit of my expectations for myself. To every survivor of domestic violence, the dreams you placed on hold are still worth exploring. Whether it’s returning to school, starting a business, rebuilding your confidence, or pursuing something you’ve always wanted, your future deserves your attention, too. 💜
