🌳 We are grateful to the students of Randolph Middle School for their hard work and dedication during a recent outdoor beautification project at Crittenton.

With trees generously provided by TreesCharlotte, students worked together to plant and enhance our campus, creating a more welcoming and beautiful environment for the young women and children we serve. Their teamwork and commitment to service made a lasting impact that will be enjoyed for years to come.

Thank you to Randolph Middle School and TreesCharlotte for helping bring this project to life and for investing in our community.

When you’re a young mom in foster care, finding a true support system changes everything. In this video, a former resident and current board member shares how Crittenton's Sarah's House program gave her the foundation, tools, and family she needed to build a bright future for herself and her daughter.

We currently have openings available in our Sarah's House program, dedicated to supporting young moms (ages 14–21) and their babies who are both navigating the foster care system.

🎨 There was lots of color and creativity outside at Crittenton during a recent tie-dye activity with staff members Tatyana and Kristiana. ☀️

Clients spent the afternoon outdoors tie-dyeing donated onesies and socks, mixing colors and creating their own unique designs. From bright swirls to colorful patterns, every piece turned out a little different.

The activity was a fun way for clients to enjoy time outside, get creative, and spend time together while giving donated items a colorful new look.

🛍️✨ Our Token Room supports girls in foster care within our Sarah’s House and Legacy Hall programs.

By attending classes, participating in programming, completing chores, and meeting responsibilities, clients earn tokens they can use to “shop” for fun and personal items.

🏈✨This past weekend, our team attended the 3rd Annual Bryce Young Free Youth Football Camp at the Harris YMCA, an inspiring opportunity to see Charlotte’s youth learn, grow, and thrive.

We were proud to be part of vendor valley, where community providers and residents came together to share resources and connect with families across Charlotte.

Children of former Crittenton clients participated in the camp, building confidence, developing new skills, and having fun along the way.

Thank you to Bryce Young and the Young9Foundation for investing in our youth and raising awareness about the importance of mental health. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier community. 💚

🌱🌼 Our garden season is officially growing at Crittenton!

Clients recently painted our raised flower beds to get everything ready for this year’s gardens, and we’re excited to share that sprouts have already begun to appear! 🌿
We’re also grateful for our wonderful “Gardening with Grandma” volunteers, who join us two Saturdays each month to help nurture the garden and create meaningful connections along the way.

A special thank you to staff member Alina, whose dedication and care help ensure our garden thrives year after year. 🌻

🌟 We were honored to welcome representatives from Justice + Joy National Collaborative during their visit to Charlotte.

It was a meaningful opportunity to share the work happening at Crittenton and engage in conversations centered on equity, advocacy, and healing. Hearing from the young people engaged with their Defending Democracy project was inspiring and galvanizing-a good reminder that our direct services work relies on a larger policy framework to support our residents.

We are grateful for the chance to connect with leaders and changemakers who are advancing justice and joy in communities across the country. Thank you for spending time with us and learning more about our mission and impact here in Charlotte.
