β˜€οΈπŸΎ And Just Like That... We Made It! πŸΎβ˜€οΈ

Tomorrow is our last day of school, and our Bearcats will be celebrating with one of the most anticipated events of the yearβ€”FIELD DAY!

There will be games. There will be competition. There will be laughter. There will be students moving at speeds that science has yet to fully explain. πŸ˜„

As we wrap up another school year, we're grateful for every lesson learned, every challenge overcome, every friendship formed, and every memory made along the way. Our students have worked hard, grown tremendously, and given us countless reasons to be proud.

Tomorrow, we'll celebrate all of those accomplishments the Bearcat wayβ€”with teamwork, fun, and a whole lot of school spirit. πŸ’™πŸ’›

To our students: enjoy every minute of it.

To our staff: you've earned this.

To our families: thank you for sharing your amazing kids with us this year.

May the sunscreen be applied, the water bottles stay full, and the competitive spirit remain mostly friendly. See you at Field Day, Bearcats! β˜€οΈπŸΎπŸ˜†

Now let's finish strong! 🐾

πŸ’§πŸŽ―πŸΎ For Science... Probably. πŸΎπŸŽ―πŸ’§

Our 7th grade science students recently put a giant slingshot and a supply of water balloons to good use as they explored force, trajectory, and engineering through a hands-on challenge.

Working in teams, students launched water balloons toward a designated target area, making adjustments and testing their designs along the way. The goal was to land balloons in the target zone.

The unexpected challenge? A group of 7th and 8th graders who voluntarily decided the target zone was exactly where they wanted to be. πŸ˜†

While some students focused on launching water balloons, others enthusiastically volunteered as "research assistants" by standing in the landing area and seeing just how accurate those launches could be. The scientific value of this decision is still being debated.

Fortunately, everyone had a blast, learned a little physics, and created some end-of-the-year memories that are sure to last long after the water dried.

Sometimes the best learning happens when students are willing to take risks. Sometimes those risks involve standing in the path of a flying water balloon.

🌱🐾 Bearcats Growing More Than Just Plants! 🐾🌱

Our 8th grade science students continued their service learning project this week, spending time in the front garden planting, watering, and helping our school grounds look their best.

From carefully placing new plants to making sure everything got the water it needed, these students put in the work to create a space that our entire school community can enjoy. πŸŒΌπŸ’§πŸŒΏ

Service learning gives students the opportunity to take what they learn in the classroom and use it to make a real difference, and our Bearcats have been doing just thatβ€”one plant at a time.

We're proud of the hard work, teamwork, and care they have shown throughout this project. Be sure to check out the front garden and see the results of their efforts!

(And yes, they somehow managed to stay focused despite the many distractions that come with being outside at the end of the school year. That's a scientific achievement all by itself. πŸ˜„)

πŸŽ’πŸ’™πŸ’› ATTENTION: 8TH GRADE BEARCATS HAVE OFFICIALLY BEEN RELEASED INTO THE WILD. πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸŽ’

Yesterday, our 8th graders headed to Craig's Cruisers for their end-of-year field trip, and let's just say... the fun levels were off the charts.

There were go-karts. There were games. There were rides. There were enough smiles, laughter, and friendly competition to power the school for the next decade.

After a year of hard work, growth, challenges, victories, and making memories together, our 8th graders earned a day to celebrate all they've accomplished. Watching them enjoy time with friends, make memories, and simply have fun was the perfect way to help close out their middle school journey.

We are incredibly proud of this class and all they have achieved this year. As they get ready to take their next steps into high school, we're grateful for the memories they've made as Bearcats and excited for all that lies ahead.

πŸ“Έ Check out some of the highlights from a day filled with fun, laughter, and a little bit of healthy competition!

🚨✈️ AIRSPACE ACTIVITY DETECTED ✈️🚨

Last week, our 7th grade scientists took their learning outdoors and transformed the front lawn into a high-stakes flight testing zone. πŸ§ͺπŸŒ³πŸš€

Their mission: Design a plane, launch it using a slingshot-style launcher, and land it in a specific target zone to earn their grade.

Simple?

Not exactly.

Students had to consider design, distance, trajectory, force, and the ever-unpredictable factor known as "the wind had other plans." πŸŒ¬οΈπŸ“ŠβœˆοΈ

As planes launched across the lawn, our future engineers collected data, made adjustments, tested theories, and discovered that science is often a combination of careful planning and hoping your plane doesn't immediately attempt an emergency landing. 🀣

Some aircraft soared gracefully.

Some aircraft took the scenic route.

Some aircraft made decisions that can only be described as "creative."

But every launch was an opportunity to apply real scientific thinking and engineering skills in a hands-on way!

Check out our 7th grade scientists in action as they put their designs to the test and turned the front lawn into Bearcat International Airport for the day. πŸ›«πŸ’™πŸ’›

πŸš¨πŸ“š READING ALERT! πŸ“šπŸš¨

The AR Challenge has officially been conquered.

Books were opened.
Pages were turned.
Quizzes were defeated.
Points were earned.

And these Bearcats emerged victorious! πŸ†

Scientists are still investigating how our students managed to read THIS MANY books while also surviving middle school. The results are expected sometime in 2047. πŸ”¬πŸ“–

Until then, we'll just celebrate these incredible AR Challenge winners who proved that reading is not only importantβ€”it's CHAMPION behavior. πŸ’ͺπŸ†

Give our winners a huge round of applause and flood the comments with πŸ’™ and πŸ’› for these reading legends!
