My Day Counts® / The Orange County Adult Achievement Center is a private not for profit 501c3 charitable corporation licensed service provider for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. By our commitment to innovate and maintain high quality programs for our community we are Making Life Better For People With Disabilities! Established in 1951 by parents who wanted to provide enhanced opportunities for their children with developmental disabilities, My Day Counts / Orange County Adult Achievement Center has grown to serve over 800 adults in year-round programs designed to enrich the lives of the individuals served and enable them to achieve their full potential.

Yesterday, our ILS (Independent Living Services) participants embarked on a fun social outing at the Orange Circle! It was a day filled with great food, great people, and great memories!

An important part of living independently is being more comfortable going around your local community. We're happy to say that everyone had a blast, and we can't wait for the next outing! 😎

Yesterday, we had a fun Trunk-or-Treat celebration where MDC staff decorated the trunks of their cars so participants could have a fun-filled day full of sweet treats and decorations!

We are definitely in the Halloween spirit, and we have plenty more activities to do before October ends. 🎃🎃🎃

We are incredibly proud to announce that My Day Counts has been officially selected as a Hometown Hero recipient for the 102nd Anaheim Fall Festival & Halloween Parade! This is a tremendous honor for our participants and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate community impact on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Congratulations to the top 3 contestants in our birdhouse painting competition.

A few months ago, we had some participants take part in a birdhouse-building workshop with our good friends at Home Depot.

The participants later took the time to paint their birdhouses, and their MDC staff and peers voted on their top choices.

We are always excited to see their talent shine!

Yesterday was World Literacy Day! We had participants in our Training Activity Program share stories with participants in our Creative Choices program, who then wrote book reports on the stories they learned about.

At My Day Counts, participants are always looking forward to learning something new! 😁

The first graduating class of the Culinary Creations Club just received their certificates! 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

In the last few months, MDC participants have been able to learn a variety of fun & healthy recipes. They gained kitchen safety skills and more experience going out into the community as they shopped for the ingredients.

We are proud of their hard work and can't wait to see what the next class creates themselves! 😋
