As this year comes to end, I give thanks to God for the many blessings bestowed upon my family and I in 2022.

I am especially thankful for the opportunity to represent the people of District Two in our great city of Anaheim. To lose by 78 votes...just proves "EVERY VOTE COUNTS". I am grateful for all of you who supported me and those of you who stepped up on boards and commissions, community meetings and events, and many, many, charitable events. I am forever grateful for all the good and the not so good. The outpouring of love and support by so many did not go unnoticed.

This post is my final. Sending my love, hugs, and appreciation for all of you. May God bless you with good health, much love, joy, and happiness in 2023! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

When I sought out the appointment to this vacant seat, it was because I wanted to advocate for our residents. I am not now, nor will I ever, be a politician. I may not be as polished as some of my colleagues, but I have always and will always have a heart for the people of my district. They are the reason I am here.

It has been an honor serving the residents of West Anaheim and the city for the past year, and I am immensely grateful for the opportunity.

Serving on the board of the League of California Cities, a Director of the Orange County Water District, and other boards has also been an honor.

During my time on Council, I had the chance to address critical issues such as street racing and the impacts of homelessness, and voted to support the much-needed revitalization of Beach Blvd, the study of the Brookhurst Street Corridor, and the designation of Little Arabia.

Visiting the pantry at the Dwelling Place was very impactful to see services provided in such a dignified manner. I will continue to advocate for such a facility in West Anaheim. I enjoyed attending local community meetings, and have treasured every interaction I had at those events. These meetings are an essential public service.

Some of the most memorable community events I attended were: joining with my former UPS colleagues to clean up John Marshall Park, honoring Esther Wallace and Shirley McCracken and the celebration of two Indigenous Peoples Days, welcoming the Sudanese Ambassador to the US, and all of the events supporting small businesses at their ribbon cuttings— it has all truly been an honor and my pleasure.

In the days ahead, I look forward to my return to community advocacy as a resident of District 2.
It has been my honor and my pleasure to serve the people of Anaheim.

I am forever grateful.

Last week, I attended a second neighborhood meeting with District 2 residents who are affected by illegal activity along the railroad tracks. Thank you to city staff from Neighborhood Services, Anaheim Public Utilities, and Anaheim Police Department, and Union Pacific for helping provide our residents with resources. I continue to stay committed to increasing public safety by working with our representatives to address these concerns.
