Liberty's Promise Providing low-income immigrant youth with the resources to succeed in America.

Since 2005, we've served more than 5,000 low-income immigrant youth who represent over 120 countries through our after-school civic engagement programs and eight-week internship program. We currently run 27 after-school programs in:

Maryland - City of Baltimore, Baltimore, Montgomery & Prince George's Counties

Virginia - City of Alexandria, Arlington & Fairfax County

Washington D.C.

Thank you to everyone who supported Liberty’s Promise during Give Greater DC!

Your generosity helps make our DC Summer Program for immigrant youth possible and supports students as they complete their community service hours, build confidence, and gain meaningful experiences throughout the summer. 🌱

Last summer, students volunteered at community farms, senior centers, and organizations like Dress for Success and Cisco, where they explored career pathways, developed new skills, and connected with their community.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, shared, and supported our students during this campaign.

We’re still working toward our goal and we still need our community’s support to help make this summer possible for immigrant youth in DC.

Today, we are continuing our Give Greater DC campaign to support our DC Summer Program for immigrant youth at Roosevelt High School.

Through this program, students complete the 100 community service hours required for graduation while gaining meaningful experiences, leadership skills, and community connections. 🌱

Your donation helps provide meals, transportation, and volunteer opportunities that make these experiences possible.

Give Greater DC is here✨, and we are raising $5,000 to support our DC Summer Community service Program for immigrant youth.

Through this 5-week program, students complete the 100 community service hours required for graduation while gaining meaningful experiences, career exposure, and community connections.

Last summer, students volunteered at , where they organized professional clothing and supported social media content creation. Students also received career readiness resources, interview preparation support, and professional outfits for future job opportunities.

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! Last summer, our students stepped up for their community in meaningful ways. 🌱

During our DC Summer Program, students volunteered at Edgewood community farm where they planted, prepared soil, removed weeds, and supported the garden throughout the week.

Despite the summer heat, students showed commitment, teamwork, and dedication every day—and even took home fresh vegetables, fruits, and flowers to share with their families. 💛

Last summer, our students spent a week volunteering at (Edgewood Community Farm) where they planted seeds, removed weeds, moved wood, and learned about the hard work behind maintaining a garden.

For many students, these experiences become more than community service hours—they create connection, reflection, and belonging. 🌱

This Tuesday is the GiveGreater DC Giving Day — and early giving is officially OPEN now!

Last summer, our students had the incredible opportunity to visit American University as part of our summer program field trips 🎓✨

For many participants, this was their very first time stepping onto a college campus. Students explored university life, learned about higher education opportunities, and began envisioning new possibilities for their future.

We’re excited to participate in our second year of Give Greater DC on May 12! 💛
This year, we’re working to raise $5,000 to support our DC Summer Program for immigrant youth.

Through this 5-week program, DC high school students can complete the 100 community service hours required for graduation—while gaining real-world experience along the way.

We provide meals and transportation so participants can fully engage in each opportunity. Last summer, students volunteered at a community farm, library, elderly center, and more—exploring new spaces and learning something new each week.

This Spring2ACTion✨ we raised more than $6,000 to provide summer internships for Alexandria youth! 💙We are incredibly grateful for the support, and can’t wait to share all the amazing things our interns work on this summer.
