PWdWA operates outreach at St Pat’s Engagement Hub at 12 Queen Victoria Street in Fremantle, fortnightly on Wednesdays, 9:00 am –12:00 pm, offering specialist advocacy support that complements the incredible work St Pat’s already does.
For more than 50 years, St Pat’s has been supporting people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage across Perth’s south metro. Their mission is simple but powerful: helping people build stability and reconnect with community through essential services and person-centred support.
At the St. Patrick's Community Support Centre Engagement Hub (open Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–2:00 pm), community members can access:
• Nutritious meals and breakfast
• Showers, day lockers, phone charging & computers
• Emergency relief, referrals and advocacy
• Health & wellbeing services, including an on-site clinic
• Pro bono dental care
• Financial, legal and disability support (including NDIS)
• Social connection through music, art, groups and events
St Pat’s also provides outreach across Perth, meeting people where they are, building trust, and supporting them in accessing safe accommodation and services with respect and dignity.
As an Individual Advocate, Matt can support you to:
• Access independent advocacy if you have a disability
• Ensure your rights are upheld and defended
• Resolve issues and understand your options
• Get up-to-date information to make informed decisions
What Matt can’t do:
• Provide legal or financial advice
• Provide personal care or support workers
• Manage or coordinate services (e.g., finding housing or support workers)
• Provide mediation or counselling
• Make decisions for you
• Take actions on your behalf that someone else can reasonably do
• Investigate organisations or force them to act
If an issue is outside our scope, we’ll always do our best to connect you with someone who can help.
