As part of National Volunteer Week, we proudly recognise and celebrate the incredible volunteers who make the Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club such a strong and valued part of our community.
Every season, our members dedicate countless hours to keeping our beaches safe, supporting one another, developing future lifesavers, and creating a welcoming environment for the community. Their commitment, passion, and willingness to give their time is what keeps our club thriving both on and off the beach.
Throughout the 2025/26 season, our volunteers contributed an extraordinary amount of time across all areas of the Club, including:
π 6,892 volunteer patrol hours keeping beachgoers safe
β
917 training and education hours developing skills and qualifications
π 1,300+ coaching hours supporting athletes and youth development
π¨750+ operational activity hours assisting with events, administration, water safety, and club operations
These numbers represent far more than hours alone. They reflect early mornings, late nights, weekends on patrol, training sessions, mentoring young members, supporting carnivals, maintaining equipment, attending meetings, and always being willing to step forward when needed.
From our patrol members and trainers to age managers, coaches, officials, water safety crews, administrators, and behind-the-scenes volunteers β every contribution plays a vital role in the success of our Club and the safety of our community.
On behalf of Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club, thank you to every volunteer for your dedication, professionalism, and community spirit throughout the season. Your efforts continue to make a lasting impact and embody the true spirit of surf lifesaving.
Happy National Volunteer Week and thank you for everything you do. π€π
