Florida Roadshow has arrived in Tampa 🇩🇰🇺🇸

As part of the Florida Roadshow, we met with the local leaders & experts in Tampa to discuss how cities can manage growth while creating places that are healthy, resilient & liveable.

One of the highlights was a conversation with AIA Tampa Bay on water, mobility, public space & the role of architecture & design.

Watch the FOX 13 segment to hear more about the conversation:

Denmark may be almost 5,000 miles away from Tampa, but the two cities may soon have more similarities than differences. Visitors with Denmark’s embassy came to Tampa Bay to share ideas on how cities can prepare for the future. FOX 13's Blake DeVine reports.

How do we shape an energy system that provides us with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy for people and industry? ⚡️

Last week, a delegation of U.S. state legislators wrapped up a fast-paced tour across Denmark to learn about the innovative approaches that Denmark applies to reach those goals. Danish experts shared insights with the delegation.

Arizona State Senator Tim Dunn opened the tour with a short speech at an event hosted by the Danish Industries. Senator Dunn and the delegation were especially interested in the stability of energy systems that rely mostly on renewables.

And as part of the tour, they got to see first hand how Denmark sits at the forefront regarding wind farms, district heating, industrial symbiosis, water pump systems, and energy efficiency.

Two Danish drivers take on NTT INDYCAR SERIES in Washington, D.C. 🇩🇰🇺🇸🏁

This weekend, Denmark had two drivers on the grid as INDYCAR, America’s premier open-wheel racing series, took to the streets of Washington, D.C. for the first time.

Christian Rasmussen , driving the No. 21 for ECR INDY, secured a career-best fourth-place starting position, while Christian Lundgaard drove the No. 7 for Arrow McLaren to an impressive second-place finish and a spot on the podium. 🥈

We were also pleased to welcome both drivers to the Embassy. Rasmussen joined colleagues ahead of race weekend to talk about his journey into INDYCAR, while Ambassador Jesper Møller Sørensen welcomed Lundgaard after the race to congratulate him on his impressive result and hear more about his experience racing in Washington D.C.

As Denmark and the United States mark 225 years of diplomatic relations, having two Danish drivers competing in one of America’s biggest motorsport series is a great example of the many ways Denmark and the U.S. are connected today, including through sport.

Congratulations to Christian Lundgaard and Christian Rasmussen! 👏🏎️

Happy Independence day to all Ukrainians!💙💛

35 years ago, Ukraine restored its independence, and today, Ukrainians continue to defend it.

Denmark stands firmly with Ukraine, & remains the biggest supporter, measured by our contribution as a share of GDP.

As the 🇩🇰 Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said yesterday in Kyiv:

“Our support is not measured in months. It is measured in this simple promise: as long as it takes.”

Ukraine’s security is Europe’s security. Ukraine is itself a security provider and an important contributor to transatlantic and global security. A free, sovereign & secure Ukraine is in Denmark’s, Europe’s and the United States’ strategic interest.

Russia’s war is not only a war against Ukraine. It threatens the security of Europe & seeks to weaken the transatlantic alliance.

It is essential that political, military, financial, development, humanitarian and economic support for Ukraine continues to flow; that transatlantic allies deepen defence cooperation and joint production with Ukraine.

Ukraine deserves a just and lasting peace. Until then, our commitment remains clear & strong 🇺🇦🇩🇰

Denmark’s defense industry is scaling at unprecedented speed - and last week’s DALO Industry Days proved it 🇩🇰🪖

Last week, Scandinavia's largest defense exhibition took place in Denmark. H.R.H. Brigadier General Prince Joachim and Denmark in USA’s defense industry team joined leaders across government and industry to drive transatlantic dialogue and explore newest developments in the Danish defense ecosystem.

Key takeaways from the week include:

👉 Danish specialized engineering is in demand: visits to capability champions like maritime underwater company MacArtney Underwater Technology Group and aluminum specialist Aluline A/S demonstrated Danish expertise in critical sub-tier engineering – a crucial part in supporting supply chains.

👉 Denmark is hub for defense tech: Denmark is proving to be a launching pad for international defense technology. U.S. autonomous surface vehicle company Saildrone selected Copenhagen for its European headquarters, while the official launch of DENWERX to establish a dedicated bridge to fast-track cross-border collaboration in dual-use tech with more U.S. establishments to come.

👉 Plenty of opportunity to strengthen collaboration: through high-level engagements - including dialogue at the U.S. Ambassador’s residence with Ambassador Ken Howery and Assistant Secretary Honourable Dale Marks from the U.S. Department of War, and the 13 members of the Danish Defense Industry Alliance - discussions focused on meeting critical industry demands through cross-Atlantic commercial partnerships.

With Denmark’s rapidly growing industrial base and the strong international momentum surrounding it, the industry is stepping up, driving innovation, and strengthening NATO security.

Have you thought about applying to Harvard Kennedy School but stopped at the tuition? 🧑‍🎓📚

A year at Harvard Kennedy School with tuition covered, is on the table for Danes working in and around public service.

The Crown Prince Frederik Fund goes back to 1993, when Crown Prince Frederik turned 25, and he was a student at Harvard University and a long way from home.

Danish-Americans decided to mark the occasion by raising money for a scholarship in his name, so that other Danes could follow him there.

Three decades later he is King, and the fund is still sending people to Harvard Kennedy School every year.

The Crown Prince Frederik Fund covers full tuition for the Master in Public Policy, the Master in Public Administration or the one-year Mid-Career MPA.

🇩🇰: It is open to Danish citizens with a strong affiliation to Denmark.

⌛Deadline: Thursday 17 September 2026 at 12:00PM.

International Youth Day 🇩🇰🇺🇸

The future of the Denmark–U.S. relationship is built through people & the connections they carry with them across a lifetime.

Through exchange, collaboration and shared experiences, generations of Danes & Americans have learned from one another and strengthened the ties between our two countries.

For 75 years, Fulbright Denmark has helped create those connections. And this year marks 80 years of the The Fulbright Program worldwide.

Since 1951, nearly 4,000 Danes & Americans have taken part in Fulbright exchanges.

The numbers are impressive. But the real impact is harder to measure: new perspectives, new ideas, friendships, research collaborations and a deeper understanding of each other.

On International Youth Day, we celebrate the spirit of exchange that continues across generations, and the people who carry it forward 🇩🇰🇺🇸
