This week, your Arrowhead PTA flipped Halloween on its head with a little reverse trick-or-treating! Instead of the kids going door to door, we went classroom to classroom delivering sweet treats to the amazing teachers + staff who make Arrowhead such a special place every single day.

Our teachers give our students so much. This was our small way of saying THANK YOU and letting them know how much they're appreciated.

Happy Halloween from your Arrowhead PTA! 🧡🖤

October is National Principals Month AND Book Month, so we’re taking a peek at Dr. Virgili’s bookshelf! 📚

📖 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: Theo of Golden by Allen Levi (the book she's reading with her ladies’ book club) + Consequential Leadership: An Illustrated Guide for Leading for Impact by Fisher, Frey, Faddis, Lassiter, and Hattie (for work).

🎒 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲: The Pippi Longstocking series by Astrid Lindgren! Fun fact: Dr. V’s elementary PE teacher called her “Pippi,” and lots of people said she looked just like her growing up. Keep an eye out for her Pippi impression today for Book Character Day!

🌟 𝗛𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: The Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osborne. Dr. V read these with her own children + loved them just as much as they did. They even helped her realize how much she values historical fiction!

Thank you, Dr. Virgili, for leading Arrowhead with heart (and a great reading list)! 🙌

THANK YOU for another amazing Arrowhead PTA Trunk-or-Treat 🎃

What a night! Our bus loop was transformed into a spooky celebration filled with creative trunks, fun costumes, and SO many smiling faces. Thank you to every family who came out to trick-or-treat, enjoy the outdoor movie, and grab dinner at our concessions table.

A HUGE thank you to our trunk volunteers! You brought the candy, the creativity, and the Arrowhead spirit, and this event simply wouldn't happen without you. 🧡 Thank you also to our event staff and everyone who donated candy to keep the trunks stocked all night long.

And now... drumroll please for this year's Trunk Contest winners! 🏆

🥇 1st Place: W***y Wonka (Kindergarten)
🥈 2nd Place: Candyland (1st Grade)
🥉 3rd Place: Stranger Things

Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to every guest who cast a spider ring vote! We can't wait to do it all again next year 👻

Happy from Arrowhead PTA! 🚌

We stopped by with a little thank-you gift for our amazing Bus Drivers + Bus Assistants! Rain or shine, they get our students to school + back home safely every day. We're so grateful for their care, patience + dedication on every route. THANK YOU! 🫶

School Bus Safety Week runs Oct. 19–23, so it's a great time for a quick reminder to all families + drivers:

🛑 Slow down in school zones and near bus stops
👀 Stay alert and put the phone away
🚨 ALWAYS stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended

Let's all do our part to keep our kids safe on the road!
