It’s only September BUT we have a scary good announcement—- Our annual Safe Haven event is being extended by an hour!
Come out Halloween night (rain or shine!) to our apparatus bay filled with games, goodies, fun, and plenty of candy AND for those brave enough, the haunted house 🏚️
Parents, don’t feel like walking around the neighborhood but still want a fun Halloween night? We got you!
Just 8 weeks to go!

Welcome to the fleet ambulance 1624!
Ambulance 1624 is a 2025 Horton 603F on a Ford F-550 4x2 chassis with a diesel engine.
We are so very excited to bring this one on (stay tuned for her debut date!) and want to thank everyone who has been involved in getting her ready-including YOU in the communities we serve!

Today we had three Plaza crews at three different stations and finally got to meet up at the end of shift.

Back to School Safety 🚍🚑💙💛

🎒 BACK TO SCHOOL MEANS BACK TO SAFETY!

As our students head back to school, the members of Plaza Volunteer Rescue Squad want to remind everyone that safety starts with every ride.

🚌 On the school bus:
• Stay seated and follow the driver’s directions.
• Keep hands, feet, and belongings to yourself.
• Wait for the bus to stop before entering or exiting.
• Look both ways before crossing the street.
• Remember—never pass a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing!

🚑 In our ambulances:
Our members practice that same commitment to safety every time we get behind the wheel. We follow traffic laws, drive with caution, use emergency warning equipment responsibly, and constantly train to make sure our crews, patients, and everyone sharing the road gets home safely.

Two different vehicles. One important mission: EVERYONE GETS HOME SAFE.

Plaza Volunteer Rescue Squad is proud to support our schools, students, teachers, bus drivers, families, and fellow first responders as we begin another school year.
