Arrests Made Following Serious Injury Motor Vehicle Collision Investigation

On January 22, 2026, at approximately 1:23 p.m., Southington Police responded to the area of Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike and Canal Street for a reported multi-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. Due to the seriousness of the collision, members of the Southington Police Department Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

The investigation determined that the collision involved five vehicles and followed a road-rage type incident involving a pickup truck operated by Quest Marquis Robinson, age 22, of Terryville, CT, and a motorcycle operated by Timothy Delaney, age 29, of Southington, CT. The investigation further determined that the pickup truck struck the rear of the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle and pickup truck to continue into the intersection where several other vehicles became involved. Delaney sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. A second operator was also transported for treatment of minor injuries.

Following the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for both Robinson and Delaney.
On June 8, 2026, Robinson was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant related to this investigation. Robinson was transported to the Southington Police Department, where he was processed and charged with the following:

Robinson was held on a court-set bond of $200,000 and was scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on June 9, 2026.

On June 10, 2026, Delaney turned himself in at the Southington Police Department on an active arrest warrant related to the same investigation.

Delaney was processed and charged with the following:
