Thank you Dr. Cravens, Mr. Potthoff, and Mr. Rick for offering to get slimed today. Our ears are still ringing from all the cheering and fun!

Thanks to our entire school, staff, PTO, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and families for supporting our school and making such special memories in the process.

Students need to ATTEND school to ACHIEVE in school. Anoka-Hennepin Schools aims to share attendance resources and tips with families to support student success.

Why it matters: The more involved students are in school, the more likely they are to enjoy and want to attend school.

Students who attend school 95% of the time are:
•More likely to be on track to graduate on time. ⌛
•Do better in reading and math. 📚
•Are less likely to fail a class. ⭐
•Are more likely to have the credits needed to graduate. 🎓

Families can make a difference: We can all work together to support students. Consider how you can help:

•🎒Teach your child to organize their clothes, lunch and books for school the night before, so they are prepared in the morning.
• 🎭 Encourage your child to participate in before- or after-school activities. Students who are involved at school usually enjoy school more and are more likely to want to attend each day.
• 🩺 Schedule non-emergency health and dental appointments outside of school hours; and schedule vacations for days your children don’t have school.
•📅 If you know your child needs to miss school, contact the office as soon as possible to coordinate plans as soon as possible.

✅ Get information about attendance policies and explore resources online at ahschools.us/attendtoachieve.

Dear Families: Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). As always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.

Here’s what you need to know about the big event:

It will take place from Oct. 22nd - Oct. 29th during Library classes. Additionally, the book fair will be open during conferences Oct. 26th from 1:00pm-8:00pm & Oct. 29th from 4:20-8:00pm.

Say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. When you fund an eWallet, you can also contribute to Share the Fair, the giving program that benefits kids in our school who need help buying new books.

If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Book Fair online. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.

New this year we have an exciting opportunity to pre-order a couple books.
