Ramsey Gateway Project Wins National Engineering Award

The Ramsey Gateway Project received a National Recognition Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) during its 2026 Engineering Excellence Awards. This two-year project was completed by Anoka County, the City of Ramsey, and MnDOT. It made major upgrades to Highway 10 by replacing traffic signals at Ramsey Boulevard and Sunfish Lake Boulevard with new interchanges and separating BNSF railway crossings. These changes improved safety and traffic flow. The engineering firm of Bolton & Menk was the primary designer on the project.

District 1 Commissioner John Heinrich praised the teamwork behind the project. He said the award shows the dedication and skill of everyone involved.

The National Recognition Award category highlights exceptional merit and excellence at a national level. The display panel is under firms A to B at the ACEC’s website https://convention.acec.org/eea-gala/2026-eea-awards.
