It is a privilege and honor to serve again as your County Commissioner for district 1, Anoka, Ramsey, Nowthen, Oak Grove and St Francis.
The past 10 years, I have been fortunate to participate in and help advance district changing projects (highway 10 interchanges and highway 47 grade separation) as well as keep taxes down, controlling spending and promoting economic development. We are the lowest taxed metro county and the second fastest growing county in the state. It has been a pleasure to serve my constituents and I firmly believe that together we have made Anoka County Better.

***BREAKING NEWS***

Preliminary Levy numbers for this year (note: levy’s go up, your taxes go up, levys go down, your taxes go down, flat...your taxes are the same as last year)

Anoka County 0% increase
Regional rail levy (I chair that committee) -2%
City of Anoka +3.9%
City of Andover +3.2%

City of Ramsey + 5%. (Note Ramsey also passed a “Franchise Fee” for roads...the current budget couldn’t pay for road needs)
Estimated that with the Franchise fee...(15-20% tax increase) plus the 5% levy hike, most houses will see a 20-30% tax hike when just isolating City taxes

Some will think this is bad, some will think this is great. You decide
