Proctor Police Department

On August 31 at 6:23 a.m., the Proctor Police Department responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Hwy 2 near 3rd Street in Proctor. It was determined a semi-truck traveling eastbound on Hwy 2 failed to negotiate a curve, rolled over and came to rest in a business parking lot. The driver of the semi suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by Mayo to the hospital. No other vehicles were involved. Impairment of alcohol or drugs is not suspected; however, speed appears to be a contributing factor. Our thanks to the Hermantown Police Department, St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department, St. Louis County Rescue Squad and Minnesota State Patrol for responding and assisting with this incident.

**ATTENTION MOVIEGOERS** Please keep an eye on our page Friday afternoon if you plan to attend the Community Movie Night. With possible rain forecasted and wind restrictions on the movie screen, there may be a location change to the High School Auditorium.

We hope for good weather so everyone may enjoy the Ninja Anywhere course from 4-8 p.m. at the Museum before joining us for the movie!

Our officers would like to congratulate Rowan on his excellent investigation skills during National Night Out! He completed the BOLO (Be on the Lookout) Scavenger Hunt and was selected for a free night's stay (and swimming pool time!) at the Sleep Inn & Suites courtesy of Choice Hotels. Many thanks to Choice Hotels, Rowan, his family, and all the other junior investigators who participated!

The Proctor Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a male and/or the truck he was driving during a suspicious incident in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 2nd. The involved vehicle is a black Chevrolet pickup truck with lettering on both the side and rear windows.
