It is with our profound sadness to announce the passing of one of our own. Zak McKeon passed away this morning. Zak was a new addition to the QF family and was just voted in as a probationary member in May. He was extremely excited and very active in this short time with us. He was willing to learn and was always willing to jump into any task you asked of him. He was moving to be an incredible asset to the Quaker Farms Fire Co and the Oxford Fire Dept as a whole. We will miss him dearly. Forever in our hearts and prayers Zak.

Please see below for a GoFundMe page his family has setup for their unexpected expenses.

On this Memorial Day, our hearts are filled with profound gratitude for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness protect the freedoms we cherish every single day.

To the heroes who never made it home: Your legacy will never be forgotten.

As you enjoy the day with family and friends, please take a moment of silence to remember the true meaning of this day.

“Home of the free, because of the brave.” 🗽✨

Afternoon Oxford! We are at that time of year where we experience our first brush fire season. Much like the fall time, early spring brings higher temps and lower humidity. This creates some perfect storms for rapid and dangerous fire spread. We are currently in the “High” danger area. That means no open burning is permitted.

To celebrate St Patricks day next week, the men and women of Quaker Farms Fire Co, enjoyed a hearty Irish dinner last night before our monthly meeting. On the menu was Corn beef, cabbage, carrots and red potatoes with rye bread on the side.
