Monday night, company members attended the monthly town wide department drill. At the conclusion of the drill, several Riverside Fire Company members as well as many members from other fire companies in town who were in attendance received awards for performing life saving rescues that took place during the flood event of August of this year.

The night also featured SOP review as well as Christmas dinner/dessert. Fun was had by all!

We are incredibly proud of all the members who dedicated their time towards many hours of training in order to achieve these life saving outcomes!

Engine 51 was happy to stop and support the hot chocolate stand today located at the intersection on Bowers Hill and Sunrise Drive while on the way to get fuel at the town garage! Keep up the great work kids!

They will be there today until about 3pm, stop and show your support!

Yesterday evening at approximately 10:55 the Oxford Fire Department was notified of a brush fire in the Riverside District, on Knorr road, all units worked quickly and efficiently to extinguish the fire under the command of 502. We remind everybody to please not engage in any open burning of any kind while the fire danger is this high. Conditions are perfect for rapid and uncontrolled fire spread.
