Being yourself and inspiring others to do the same is an act of courage. Pride began in New York City more than 50 years ago, and has grown into an international phenomenon, spanning countries and continents. Today, it continues as a vital reminder of hard-won rights, and an annual call to continue the work of freeing people from repression and oppression, wherever it may exist. Happy Pride.

Thank you to our amazing partners at The Douglaston Companies for volunteering with us at the Times Square to kick off the summer seasons with our tenants! These events are a chance to come together, build community, and share a delicious meal. Huge thanks also to our amazing Tenant360 team, who works so hard to create and bring events, workshops, and resources to tenants across our 4,300 units of permanent housing in New York City.

Late night may be losing an iconic voice, but we all know that Stephen will be making us laugh - and think - for many years to come. Honored to be to be the backdrop for this incredibly bittersweet moment.

As part of the Breaking Ground Junior Board's year-long initiative to address food insecurity for our tenants across New York City, our great partners at Urban Atelier Group showed up in force to pack hundreds of bags of shelf-stable groceries at 90 Sands today. On average, formerly homeless tenants of our supportive housing live on just $11,000 per year, and our low-income tenants average just $26,000 per year. Events like these truly make a difference for the people we serve. Thank you for lending us your time, energy, and talents today, UAG Team!

Over the weekend, the Breaking Ground Teen Board visited the new Sutphin Senior Housing to pack welcome kits for our new tenants. With about one third of tenants moved in so far, the Teen Board is ensuring that everyone who will call Sutphin home receives a kit that ensures they know there is a community of people who care about them as part of our warm welcome. Huge thanks to this amazing group of young people who have come together over the past year to support Breaking Ground's senior tenants across our portfolio.

WOW! Our great partners, SDC Capital Management, came out in full force to pack shelf-stable groceries for our tenants at the Prince George this week. On average, our tenants who have experience homelessness live on just $11,000 per year, and our low-income tenants just $26,000 per year. Pop up events like this help tenants stretch food budgets and ensure that no one goes without a meal. Thank you for making a difference in the lives people who call a Breaking Ground building home!
