This photo shows what can happen when a lithium-ion battery fails while charging—don’t let it be your phone.
Smartphone charging safety tips:
• Use only the original or certified charger and cable.
• Charge on a hard, flat, non-flammable surface—never on a bed or couch.
• Don’t leave your phone charging overnight.
• Watch for signs of trouble: heat, swelling, or odd smells—stop charging immediately.
• Keep it away from flammable materials.
Battery fires are no joke. Stay safe out there.
