There's a lot happening every day at JICL. BJ-one of the people we support had questions about the day to day operations of Journeys and how it affects the home he lives in. He is on the person supported advisory committee (ICAN) and wanted to learn all he could about our operations so he could give meaningful input to his committee.

He spent time with operations, finance, HR, IT and program staff to ask questions and learn about what the administrative staff do in order to be more informed to make recommendations to the agency to improve overall experience for the people we support.

Birthdays are important for everyone. For those we serve, Birthdays are more than just a celebration. From planning and shopping to inviting friends and preparing for the big day, every part of the celebration is an opportunity to make choices and create meaningful memories.

Tony enjoyed hosting his birthday party at his home, surrounded by friends, family, and lots of delicious treats!

Fall is in the air!

October in Tennessee is a beautiful reminder to get outside, spend time with friends, and enjoy the special moments. For the people we support, time together in the community means more than fun—it’s about friendship, connection, choice, and being part of the world around us. ❤️

At JICL, the adults we support in residential and day programs participate in meaningful holiday activities of their choice. Painting pumpkins is not only fun but allows the people who participate a chance to work on fine motor and coordination and express their creativity in a way the brings them happiness and a sense of accomplishment.
