We brought our sound and crew to the Mokelumne Hill Talent Show and had our local strum group hop on stage, as well as help with production!

A big shoutout to all the local talent and all the amazing cast and crew behind the scenes who made this event happen in the most authentic way possible for this little mountain community!

This is what community is all about

We are still searching for the words to express our gratitude.

The John Prine Tribute Show at the Prospect Theater, benefiting THE MUSIC LIBRARY, was an absolute masterpiece of a night.

So many incredibly talented artists from the mountains and Central Valley came together for a beautiful cause. Songs were sung, we laughed, we cried, we shared stories, memories, and art, and even sent hand-painted guitars out into the world!

It was one of those nights that reminds us just how powerful music and community can be when they come together.

A huge thank you to Chris Doud for spearheading this incredible show and to Prospect Theater Project for opening its doors and hosting such a beautiful evening. And to every musician, artist, volunteer, and person who showed up to support The Music Library, we are beyond grateful.

We have so much more to share from last week, and November is shaping up to be an exciting month! Open mics, live shows, and plenty more announcements are on the way!

Get your library card, stay tuned, and thank you for helping us build something truly special.

Master guitar builder and luthier Richard Sholer came to the music library to give a master class on guitar repair. One of the best boutique guitar builders in California as well as one of the most sought out luthiers and repairman in the Sierras. We had a limited number of tickets so that our library members can have a focused class on repairs and guitar building! It was an excellent day and we all learned so much in just a few hours!! A huge thanks to Richard Sholer for making the drive and spending a few hours educating us! We look forward to having him back for more classes as well as performances because he’s a heck of a guitar player as well!! Join the music library online for free to stay in touch with our classes and events coming up in the future! We have more master classes coming, so stay tuned!!

Our music supply is growing thanks to your donations and we are almost done with the recording studio!!! We’d love more volunteers to become librarians and it’s easier than you think! Just go online and sign up for free!! We’d love more educators for cello,Violin and vocals!! If you’d like to give a class of any artistic type you can sign up for that as well! There’s so many more surprises on the way!!!!! The Music Library is expanding to new towns! Where should we go next? Do you know of an unused space in your community that could be a music library?
