10 to Defend | Week 10 🔥
Take the Final Walk
For the last 10 weeks, Amador Fire and KVGC have shared simple, practical steps to help you and your family become better prepared for wildfire and other emergencies.
For our final week, we’re challenging you to walk your property and put everything you’ve learned into action.
✅ Remove dry leaves, pine needles, and other combustible materials from around your home, deck, roof, and gutters.
✅ Check the first five feet around your home and move anything that could ignite away from structures.
✅ Look for vegetation, branches, or other fuels that could allow fire to travel toward your home.
✅ Make sure your address is clearly visible so emergency responders can find you quickly.
✅ Review your evacuation route and identify more than one way out of your neighborhood.
Preparedness does not happen all at once. It happens one step, one project, and one decision at a time.
Thank you for following along, sharing these messages, and taking the time to prepare over the last 10 weeks. Every action you take helps make your home, your family, and our entire community safer.
Prepare Today. Defend Tomorrow.
