On Saturday, October 24, the Shelby County Health Department joined residents and community partners for our Whitehaven Fall Festival at the future site of the new Whitehaven Public Health Clinic. The festival gave us an opportunity to enjoy fun, music, and fellowship, but it also represented something much larger: the Health Department’s renewed commitment to serving the Whitehaven community.

This Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Shelby County Health Department and community partners will participate in National Drug Take-Back Day at the Kroger at Poplar and Highland, 3444 Plaza Ave. Residents may bring unused or expired medications for safe and anonymous disposal.

Last week, Shelby County Health Department hosted its first annual Breast Cancer Awareness and Survivorship Luncheon to honor survivors and the organizations that collaborate with the SCHD's Tennessee Breast and Cervical Screening Program (TBCSP). The event was both informative and inspiring!
