Due to the extreme weather, the Hub’s Cooling Center for the unhoused community will be in operation.
⏰ Opening Hours: Sunday, 09/13 from 12:00 - 6:00pm.
📍 Location: Hospitality Hub, 590 Washington Ave, Memphis, TN 38105
🚐 Transportation: Transportation will be provided by MATA; requests can be made by calling 901-486-0939 during Cooling Center hours.
🍽️ Services: The Hub's regular services will be limited during the Cooling Center. Sack meals will be provided while supplies last.
❤️ Who: All are welcome. Guests will need to check in upon arrival, but IDs are not required. We strive to provide a safe, kind, and respectful environment for all.

On the 25th anniversary of September 11, the City of Memphis honors the lives lost, recognizes the courage of those who responded, and remembers the countless people who served in the days and years that followed.

We continue to hold their families, our first responders, service members, and all those affected by September 11 in our hearts.

Turning blight into progress.

The City of Memphis Community Enhancement Division is taking an aggressive approach to blight, with more than 100 severely deteriorated and unsafe structures scheduled for demolition across every City Council district.

This 30-day effort is about more than tearing down unsafe structures. It’s about creating safer streets for residents, giving kids a safer path to school and play, and helping neighborhoods move forward.

We’re addressing blight citywide and working toward stronger, safer communities in every corner of Memphis.

One demolition at a time. One neighborhood at a time.

Heads up, Memphis! There will be no solid waste collection on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Monday and Tuesday routes will be collected on Tuesday, September 8. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday routes will remain on schedule.

Please place carts at the curb by 7 a.m. on your collection day. For schedule updates, download the free Memphis Curbside Collection app.

This schedule applies only to residents serviced by City of Memphis Solid Waste Management.
