With school for Madison's teens now in session, Summer 2026 is officially in the books!

It was a summer to remember for teens highlighted by: LED Mini Golf in the children’s room; our latest After Hours Teen Night with air fryer pizza bagels and Gang Beasts on Switch; summer reading BINGO & Beanstack with prizes; amazing henna done during a visit from local artist Z; kits to take home and make tie-dye drawstring bags and mini art masterpieces; an ice cream social with butterbeer; bedazzling their own books in the Teen Room; and not to mention, tons of books and other teen library items being checked out & enjoyed!

As always, stay tuned on the library’s website and social media accounts for all the latest teen events and happenings throughout the school year!

In September, teens can stop by the library to get supplies to make their very own glitter slime!

They may pick up their free grab-and-go bagged kit inside the library at the first floor Information Desk any time during the month (from September 1 at 9:30am-September 30 at 8:00pm) and create it at home. Open to grades 7-12, registration required on our website (scrantonlibrary.org).
