This Saturday, downtown Madison will be filled with great food, community spirit, and some friendly competition during the 10th Annual SOUPer Bowl along Boston Post Road. With 17 incredible soups, chilis, and chowders to sample, you get to taste them all and help crown the People’s Choice Champion!

We’re collecting non-expired canned foods, including fruits, vegetables, soups, pasta, tuna, beans, stews, chicken, tomatoes, and more. Every can helps support neighbors in our community who need it most.

We’re excited to kick off our annual Christmas Toy Drive in support of Madison children and Toys for Tots. In addition once again, Madison Youth & Family Services will be coming to Madison EMS to select toys specifically for local families in need, helping ensure gifts stay right here in our community as needed.

As you “fall back” today, don’t forget to test your smoke and CO detectors, swap out those batteries, and take a quick look through your emergency kits. A few minutes now can make a big difference later!

If you forgot to “fall back” last night, today’s the day! ⏰ Make sure you’ve turned your clocks back one hour and enjoy that extra bit of morning light (and maybe an extra cup of coffee).

While you’re at it, don’t forget to swap out the batteries in your smoke/CO detectors and NOAA Weather Radios. It’s a quick and easy habit that helps keep your family safe all year long.

This is also the perfect time to check your home emergency kits. Make sure flashlights work, batteries are fresh, and supplies like water, first aid items, and nonperishable food are up to date. 🚨🧰
