🧇📚 Ending our Tall Tale unit in the best way possible—pancakes, flannels, and lots of fun! 🤎
Our 2nd graders celebrated all the tall tales we’ve read while making meaningful connections between the stories and our own experiences. Creating these special moments helps bring books to life and reminds students that reading isn’t just about understanding a story, it’s about connecting with it, talking about it, and making memories along the way! 📖✨

We are so proud of our Waters Patriots who came out to the practice race at LCU this weekend! ❤️💙

We use this event to encourage our students’ love of running, and we had 19 runners come out to practice! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

There will be two more practice races that your students will learn about in PE class. In the coming weeks, we will create our official Cross Country Team, consisting of 7 boys and 7 girls from 3rd–5th grades. These runners will represent Waters in the final race in November!

Way to go, Patriots! ❤️💙

Today, students celebrated their growing independence with a special “Dinner and a Movie” lunch! They earned this fun celebration by successfully completing their morning routines—getting breakfast and putting away their belongings—all on their own. We are so proud of our second graders and the independence and responsibility they are showing! 💙♥️
