Unfortunately, Fire Season is upon us. You can sign up for emergency notifications by registering for Alert Spokane through Spokane911.com. Alert Spokane is the public alert and warning notification system for the greater Spokane area. The alerts are sent out by Spokane 911 and Spokane County Emergency Management and may include a larger area than is primarily affected. You can view current evacuation maps on Spokane911.com.

Spokane uses Level 1-3 to denote your evacuation readiness based on your address. Level 1 is Be Ready, Level 2 is Be Set and Level 3 is Go Now.

Be prepared and stay updated to the latest news of fires in the area.

We've had recent reports of impersonating scam attempts and the scammer has identified as our very own sworn staff of LLPD. Please BE AWARE - we will NOT call you about a warrant or unpaid dues that would result in legal action. Should you receive a call that you believe to be a scam, please report it immediately. If you have any reason to believe it is legitimate, you can always request our assistance or even presence to further discuss.

The parks of Liberty Lake are an iconic piece of our community, offering residents of all ages a variety of outdoor activities throughout the year.

Recently, our staff has been notified of intentional damage to our parks, including graffiti tagging, flooding, and the destruction of public property. These actions directly violate RCW Chapter 9A.48 (Malicious Mischief).

These incidents typically occur after sundown while the parks are closed. Although our officers frequently patrol these areas after dark, catching individuals in the act can have some challenges. Because these types of property crimes are often committed by juveniles, we ask parents to please speak with their children about the importance of respecting public spaces and keeping our community safe and clean.

We would like to thank the City of Liberty Lake Parks and Recreation for their tireless efforts to maintain our beautiful parks and quickly repair this damage.

ATTENTION!
The City of Liberty Lake and the Liberty Lake Police Department have been made aware of phishing emails being sent to community members impersonating City staff.

At this time, there is no indication that City email systems have been compromised. These emails appear to be attempts to fraudulently obtain payment through wire transfers and other methods, and may include attached documents or links.

At this time, there have been no reports of anyone falling victim to these attempts, and we are unaware of how many individuals may have received the emails.

DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS OR CLICK ANY LINKS WITHOUT FIRST VERIFYING THE SOURCE AND LEGITIMACY OF THE MESSAGE/ATTACHMENT.

City staff members are actively working to identify the source of these emails and resolve the matter.
