Friends of Liberty Lake Regional Park

Friends of Liberty Lake Regional Park Reports and Activities at the County Park It is widely used by members of our local community for hiking, camping, swimming and wildlife viewing.

The Park at the south end of Liberty Lake boasts 3,000 acres of mixed forest that includes beaches, creeks, waterfalls and hiking trails. Our group is dedicated to sharing eye-witness reports and photographs from the park as well as keep people updated on upcoming events.

Carelessness meets dock! Someone dropped an ash, probably a smoker, and caught the new dock on fire. Fortunately, a neighbor put out the fire before the fire department arrived. The rest of the dock remains open.

As of July 1, 2025 by the order of the Fire Code Official, burn restrictions are now in effect within all unincorporated Spokane County Parks until further notice. This prohibits all burning and charcoal BBQ use in Spokane County Park properties. Please visit the 'Rules & Regulations' page on our website for more information on what is and is not allowed during the ban. Thank you for helping us protect our lands!

After last season’s construction, Liberty Lake is ready to show off a host of improvements and you’re invited to the party. Please join us for a celebratory ribbon-cutting at Liberty Lake Regional Park on Wednesday, May 21st at 11:00 a.m.!
