At lab, the Jayhawk Battalion put some hands on skills to work!

Cadets spent lab learning the fundamentals of rope climbing and land navigation.

From getting off the ground to finding our way to the next point, Cadets were challenged to learn, adapt, and work together. 💪

Another great day of training with the Jayhawk Battalion!

🎓💪 ONE STEP CLOSER TO COMMISSIONING!

We couldn’t be more proud of our MS4 Cadets. So we made a highlight 😎‼️

After completing Advanced Camp this past summer, they’re now entering their final year of ROTC as they prepare to take the next step toward becoming Army Officers.

Their hard work, growth, and dedication have brought them this far, and we’re excited to see what this final year has in store.

The finish line is in sight! 🇺🇸

Finish strong, MS4s! We’re proud to have you leading the way.

Rock Chalk! 🔥

🇺🇸 A BIG THANK YOU TO AUSA! 🇺🇸

We’re incredibly grateful to the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) for taking the time to visit the Jayhawk Battalion and share the many resources, services, and opportunities they provide to support our Soldiers and the Army community.

Even more, AUSA generously provided and paid for a one-year membership for our Cadets! We truly appreciate their continued support and investment in our Cadets and future Army leaders.

Thank you, AUSA, for supporting the Jayhawk Battalion! We’re grateful to have you in our corner. 🇺🇸

Over the weekend, KU Army ROTC Cadets traveled to Fort Leavenworth to participate in the Royal Danish Air Force March (Danish Flyver March). 🇩🇰🇺🇸

Cadets took on a 20 km (12.5-mile) ruck march carrying 23 lbs, participating in a commemorative event recognizing the enduring relationship between Danish and U.S. forces.

Those who completed the march earned the Flyver March Medal and Ribbon, honoring their participation and accomplishment. 🎖️

Great work to all of our Jayhawk Cadets who stepped up to the challenge!

Parents and school counselors: now is the time to start preparing. Students should request transcripts through the end of their junior year and begin building a strong application packet as early as possible.

Whether you're interested in attending the University of Kansas, one of our partner universities, or another Army ROTC program across the country, I am happy to help guide students through the process.

A debt-free college education and a commission as an Army officer may be closer than you think.

On Monday, 18 May 26, the Jayhawk Battalion proudly commissioned 28 new Second Lieutenants during our Spring Commissioning Ceremony at the University of Kansas Memorial Union, bringing this year’s total to 32 newly commissioned officers — the largest commissioning class from KU Army ROTC since 1958.

These new officers commissioned into Active Duty, the Kansas Army National Guard, and the United States Army Reserve, representing the future of leadership across our Army.

This ceremony also marked a major milestone for the battalion as we proudly welcomed and commissioned Cadets from both Park University and UMKC for the first time as part of the expanded Jayhawk Battalion family.

From Lawrence to locations across the world, these officers now begin the next chapter of service to our nation.

Congratulations to the Jayhawk Battalion Class of 2026. We are proud of you.

ALL IN!
