We are absolutely thrilled — and incredibly honored — to share that Ready for Good was voted Best Furniture Store in Best of Lawrence 2026 — for the second year in a row!!!

Lawrence is full of wonderful local businesses, and we don’t take it for granted for a second that our community has chosen Ready for Good two years running.

Every vote, every purchase, every recommendation to a friend, and every person who walks through our doors helps make what we do possible. And what makes this recognition especially meaningful to us is that Ready for Good has always been about more than furniture. Your support helps create employment, mentorship, opportunity, and brighter futures for young people in our community.

Know someone who loves fixing things? 🔧

We’re looking for problem solvers, tinkerers, and handy folks who’d like to volunteer at Ready for Good Furnishings. We regularly receive donated furniture and household items that just need a little TLC before they can find a new home — and we could use some help!

Whether you can commit to a regular thing or even just once, we’d love your help. Bonus: you might get to work alongside some of our awesome young people in the process. The ongoing needs we have are helping assemble furniture, fix/repair projects, and touch-up projects.

If you’d like to work alongside young people learning to assemble and fix, the best times to help are Tuesday–Friday 3–6 PM. Or, Saturdays anywhere in the 10am–3pm time block.

No long-term commitment required. Just a willingness to roll up your sleeves and make a difference.
