"The Winter School No. 70, built in 1870 near Lecompton, Kansas, is a historic one-room schoolhouse showcasing 19th-century vernacular house and barn construction along the frontier in Kansas. Renovated and listed on the National Registry of Historic Places in 2020, it features an ancient remnant prairie for natural education opportunities."
