The UT Center for Local Planning has published a new policy guide for Tennessee local government on T.C.A. 8-44-110 regarding posting of meeting agendas.

Recent amendments to this law now require Planning Commissions, Boards of Zoning Appeal, school boards, and other bodies authorized to make binding agreements, to publish public meeting agendas at least 48 hours prior to meetings under TCA 8-44-110 -- including on the local government's website if one exists.

The latest policy guide from the the center explains the law and what it means for local planning agencies. Please share with planning staff, zoning board members and anyone else in your city who manages meeting notices and agendas.
