🚧Work on the Burlington Streetscapes Project is progressing and shifting eastward.

This month, two Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue intersections -- at Oakwood and Kirkwood streets -- will reopen. And the Knoxville Area Transit super stop will be returning to its original Kirkwood Street location.

A block away, crews have completed the interior framing for Knoxville Fire Department - TN Station No. 6, the City's first new fire station in three decades. Station No. 6 is on track to be substantially completed in four months and operational in early 2027.

Click on the link in the first comment for more details about the City's $17 million investment in Burlington.
